Customer bills will increase effective with usage starting on Feb. 1, 2022 and as authorized by the Maryland Public Service Commission will be partially reduced by certain tax benefits. With the rate adjustment and offsets approved by the PSC, the average residential electric bill will increase by $3.28 per month and the average residential natural gas bill will increase by $2.40 per month. MD PSC CASE NO. 9658 – A Public Comment Hearing has been scheduled beginning at 6:30 p.m. on September 28, 2021, via a virtual meeting platform, for the purpose of providing information  and receiving comments concerning BGE’s application for authority to replace a portion of an existing 115kV transmission line that runs from BGE’s Five Forks Substation, located in northern Harford County, Maryland, to the vicinity of BGE’s Windy Edge Substation, located in northern Baltimore County Maryland.  Any person who wishes to speak at the September 28th virtual evening hearing shall send an email to [email protected] by 12:00 Noon on September 27, 2021.  Anyone wishing to observe the virtual hearing may do so on the Public Utility Law Judge Division’s YouTube Channel via the following link: https://bit.ly/2X6wLiPWritten comments on this matter may also be submitted electronically or by first-class mail, on or before November 15, 2021. Additional information is available here.
