Gas Equipment Safety Inspections

Overview

As part of BGE’s commitment to safety and reliability we conduct gas equipment safety inspections at all homes and business across our service territory. These routine inspections are required in Maryland and add an extra layer of safety to you and your home.

***If BGE technicians or our qualified contractors need access to your home or building, we have implemented important procedures to prioritize the health of our community. All BGE employees and contractors are following health and safety best practices consistent with CDC guidelines. Masks or face coverings are required for situations where contractors are inside a customer’s property or unable to maintain 6-foot social distancing. Contractors are not required to wear COVID-19 protection in some situations, including when they are outside and able to maintain appropriate distancing or when alone in a vehicle.
